Meet the Team!

2026 marks Teacher Pia's 30th year in the field of education. Her love for education extends to both teaching and being a student herself. She started out with a BS Psychology from Assumption College and has augmented her skills with a Master's degree in Psychology from Ateneo De Manila and another Master's Degree in general and special education from the Bank Street College of NY.
Teacher Pia began as a pre-school teacher before focusing primarily on teaching reading and writing to general education students and children with disabilities.

She opened Roomful of Learners in July 2024 with two goals in mind: 1) Establish a pre-school setting that incorporated all her experience and education in general and special education and 2) Provide a welcoming and supportive space for Reading and Writing intervention. In this small world she has created, Teacher Pia hopes to contribute to making inclusion happen.

Armina Carreon
Senior Teacher
Enrichment and Intervention
Teacher Armi has been working with Roomful of Learners for 14 years. Her quiet and comforting presence among our students has allowed her to work effectively with them. A registered nurse, Teacher Armi took her education courses when she decided to focus in the area of special education. A favorite of many of our students, Teacher Armi works hard to help children develop the reading and writing skills they need while getting them to become more confident in their skills.

Misha Maxine Tatco
Head Teacher, Learning Room
Junior Teacher, Enrichment and Intervention
Teacher Misha is a graduate of Psychology from De La Salle University and joined Roomful of Learners in October 2024. Her natural ability to connect with the children won their hearts easily. She leads the group in coming up with fun activities that children can learn from.

Teacher Lara is a Psychology graduate and her work is a clear reflection of this. In class, she is our keen observer and these observations help us in responding better to the children and making our curriculum reflect the lives of the children in our classroom.

Rose Giray
Administrative Officer
Rose started in Roomful of Learners back in 2013 and has since then become a familiar face to all our students and their parents. Apart from making sure things run smoothly, training in the center and years of being around children has given her the skills needed to be a teaching assistant when we need one.
